Get Transcription Results

After uploading your audio file, LansonAI's AI will process it and generate an accurate transcription. This guide explains how to access and review your results.

Processing Timeline

Typical Processing Times

  • Short files (< 5 minutes): 1-2 minutes
  • Medium files (5-30 minutes): 3-10 minutes
  • Long files (30-60 minutes): 10-20 minutes
  • Very long files (> 60 minutes): 20+ minutes
  • Processing time depends on:

  • Audio file length
  • Audio quality
  • Current system load
  • Selected AI model
  • Checking Status

    Dashboard View

    1. Navigate to Dashboard - All your files are listed here - Recent uploads appear at the top

    2. Status Indicators - Uploading: File is being transferred - Queued: Waiting to be processed - Processing: AI is transcribing the audio - Completed: Transcription is ready - Failed: An error occurred

    3. Real-time Updates - Status updates automatically - No need to refresh the page - Progress percentage shown during processing

    Notifications

  • Email notifications (if enabled)
  • - Sent when transcription completes - Contains link to view results
  • In-app notifications
  • - Bell icon in the top navigation - Click to see recent updates

    Viewing Results

    Access Your Transcription

    1. From Dashboard - Find the completed file - Click on the file name or "View" button - Opens in the Episode Editor

    2. From Notifications - Click the notification - Redirects to the transcription

    Transcription Display

    The results include:

  • Full text transcript
  • - Complete word-for-word transcription - Organized in paragraphs or segments
  • Timestamps
  • - Each segment has start/end times - Useful for navigation and reference
  • Speaker labels (if detected)
  • - Different speakers identified - Labeled as Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.
  • Confidence scores
  • - AI's confidence in the transcription - Higher scores indicate greater accuracy

    Understanding Accuracy

    Expected Accuracy Levels

  • Clear speech, no background noise: 95-98%
  • Good quality with some noise: 85-95%
  • Multiple speakers or accents: 80-90%
  • Poor audio quality: 70-85%
  • Factors Affecting Accuracy

  • Clear, articulate speech
  • Good recording equipment
  • Quiet environment
  • Single speaker

  • Background noise

    Quick Check

    1. Read through the transcript - Look for obvious errors - Check critical names and terms

    2. Listen while reading - Play audio alongside text - Verify accuracy of important sections

    3. Note any issues - Mark sections needing correction - Prepare for editing if needed

    Quality Assessment

  • Overall coherence: Does it make sense?
  • Speaker identification: Are speakers correctly labeled?
  • Punctuation: Are sentences properly structured?
  • Technical terms: Are specialized words correct?
  • What to Do Next

    If Results Are Satisfactory

    1. Export the transcription - Download in your preferred format - Available formats: TXT, SRT, VTT, JSON

    2. Share the results - Copy text for use in other applications - Share link with collaborators (if enabled)

    If Editing Is Needed

    1. Open Episode Editor - Make corrections directly in the editor - Fix any transcription errors - Adjust timestamps if needed

    If Results Are Poor

    1. Check audio quality - Re-upload with better quality if possible - Consider noise reduction before upload
